I recently had to solve a similar problem for a computer with Windows system XP with Service Pack 3 (SP3) update - the new version of Skype did not want to install at all. Among "some other cases", cases prevail Skype updates, after which she categorically refuses to work on computers running your favorite system. In this and some other cases, the user has a need for new installation application programs, including Skype. However, during the operation of the system, errors accumulate over time, which are completely eliminated by reinstalling the operating system. We will not discuss whether this is good or bad, but simply take it for granted. There is a small category of people who have not been able to wean themselves from the Windows XP operating system, and continue to use it, despite the end of the manufacturer's official support.
